I understand the mixed reviews for sure. However, this was a real passion project for Hugh Jackman, AND. IT. SHOWS! The story is a very simplified, Hollywood, romanticized version of PT Barnum's complex story.
However, the music sequences and production design are absolutely delightful and something to behold.
