Review of The Greatest Show on Earth (1952) by Debbie P — 05 Jul 2009
The Greatest Show on Earth was released in 1952 and the Oscar winner for best picture of that year. It was directed by the great Cecil B. DeMille. It tells the story of the lives of trapeze artists, a clown, and an elephant trainer while against a background of circus spectacle.
I particularly liked the James Stewart's character's story line. The train wreck near the ending is unforgettable.
