Loud, pretentious and highly irritating film that I classify as monster fantasy genre in the same category as Godzilla. Even the great wall of China was suspiciously fake like everything else. Aggravating the CGIs giant wolf like monsters, were the Chinese cast Andy Lau and his cohort speaking in their non native tongues.

There was so much CGI in the film it was hard to take the movie seriously. The fighting was too choreographed that it became laughable. The bungee jumping spear welding female soldiers and the hot air lanterns conveying the soldiers from the great wall to the forbidden city all added to the fantasy mood of the film.
