Surprisingly good, after reading the reviews ahead of the film. Lovely made scenery with a meticulously composed and detailed design putting the spectator into this fantasy medieval chinese world. Good and clear story line with Matt Damon discovering that he has more to achieve in life than being a thief.
Although the movie has slightly too much battle scenes, I did not feel bored a single moment. Made me personally more aware of chinese mythology as the movie refers to the taotie monsters.
