Wonderful Great Wall of weapon design and variety, but seem fleeting against an army of beasts as I thought the Great Wall would show off more of it's weapon secrets in the final segment of the film, while the queen is protected and enjoying the scenery from a distance.

The alien queen did not luckily have flying beasts that would have defeated the Chinese army if they didn't have canons. The beasts seem powerful in their numbers but their weakness is so ridiculous, it's as if their minds and the queen's mind are spiritually connected.
