Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Stephen P — 26 Mar 2017
I find it interesting that the only way a movie like this could be made is if it was done by China. I wouldn't call this movie a masterpiece by any means, but it was great fun with a lot of fun action and laughs.
Even my Mother enjoyed it calling it one of her favorite movies now, If you like a good action/monster movie focusing more on character and cultural differences then this is for you. Oh, or another way to describe it, is it would make a pretty good anime movie, only this works better as a live action film.
I'm sad to see such a low score on here, go to IMDB to get a more accurate score in my opinion. I think a lot of the reviews on here were biased with a touch of racism. (No offense, but it's the only reason I can think of for such a low score from a site that will give a horrible movie a better score than this.
This site is becoming more and more unreliable I'm sad to say, and it used to be my favorite. But lately if I see a low score here, I have to watch it because I'll probably like it, if it's a high score, there's a chance I'll like it too.
I just can't tell what the scores mean anymore here. IMDB though, if it's got a score above 5 chances are I'll have a good time with it. Here I guess if the score's above 10 percent?..
. just can't tell anymore.
