Review of The Great Wall (2016) by Andrew K — 31 May 2017
The image is amazing. The story is amazing.
The overall audio is terrible. Too much audio going on all the time.. It's too much audio it takes the attention off the story and beautiful visuals.
The original score doesn't make sense. Ramin Djawadi is an amazing composer, but there is no dynamic in this score. It's too much at all time, and worst of all, the music doesn't even reflect the story. It sounds like a bunch of random soundtracks from completely different films put together.
I'm sure it's the Audio and Music caused the flop. Sadly. The audio team on IMDb god amazing credit. Perhaps bad directing?
