It's really, really, really dopey. And I kind of enjoyed it. Zhang Yimou is someone who understands how to make a spectacular set-piece, therefore the action sequences are quite beautiful to look at and fun to watch.
Less white-saviory than you might think. And that powerranger-inspired costume design is pretty dope. Oh my god, did I just say dope?
