Review of The Great Raid (2005) by Bryan G — 02 Mar 2009
This was actually an excellent movie, and an amazing story all to itself. Although what happened inside the camp at that time was not historically correct, but the events and artocities that happened to American POWs in general was correct. For the most part the story is actually true and accurate. For anyone that likes this movie, I would highly recommend reading Ghost Soldiers and The Great Raid on Cabanatuan.
"Somethings you just have to take on faith.".
"Never in our history have such a large group of men endured so much and complained so little. Many couldn't shake the fact that their country had abandoned them, left them to die in a foreign land. It was said to be of no significance to the war effort, but for me, it meant everything. It's true, they had been left behind, but never forgotten.".
