Review of The Great Mouse Detective (1986) by Ed F — 23 Nov 2010
When it comes to answering the question of 'What's your favourite Disney movie?', most people choose the big, popular ones like 'The Lion King' or 'Aladdin' etc. While I adore those films, my choice has always been 'The Great Mouse Detective', a smaller, lesser known disney film set in London and featuring a group of rats in a Sherlock Holmes- esque narrative.
It's a fantastically entertaining film, showing a different side of Disney most people wont be accustomed to. I love it, and I wish that it was as popular as the big named disney films, but then again I enjoy being the small minority who have seen and loved it.
