Review of The Great Mouse Detective (1986) by Jacob A — 11 Aug 2012
Even though not a Disney classic, do not deny this. It's the story of Sherlock Holmes told in minature, as in mice. The main character, a model of Sherlock holmes is a ton of fun to watch, he's very egotistical, but very intellectual, you'll often find yourself amazed by the intellect he carries.
The Villian, voiced by the late Vicent Price is about as fun, you can definatly tell Vincent Price really put his might into this performance, he is diabolical, and just enjoying every inch and milimeter of it.
The Villian is also egotistical and intellectual thus you have this conflict between two big egos and two big brains. It's a fun watch.
