The essence is culminated in the storybook expression of denial and frustration given to us by Dicaprio. Though the style/substance scale is fidgety at best I found the emotive parts to play as they should.
This Gatsby is not perfect but with all earnestness it is it's own maddeningly irreverent and masterfully devoted triumph.
