Review of The Great Gatsby (2013) by Veronika C — 24 Apr 2014
I finally understand the story. Thanks Leo and Baz. The novel was a boor as was the original movie that I was required to read/ watch at 16. I enjoyed it this time, some 26 yrs later. I felt sorry for Gatsby at end.
SPOILERS AHEAD: Daisy was horrible, selfish and cruel. Kinda reminded me of Citizen Kane, his loneliness at the end. Leo did a great job, it did feel like an intimate play during that skirmish in the apartment.
