A thoroughly competent take on an American classic. I really enjoyed the manic nature of this movie. However; I found the more contemporary portions of the soundtrack to be all too distracting, scenes full of important exposition were drowned out by Jay Z rapping about $100 bills.
It seems as if they thought the movie couldn't stand on its own, so they padded their soundtrack with today's top rappers.
