I'd be lying if I said I wasn't entertained, but somehow I managed to sit through The Great Gatsby without becoming particularly attached to anything it offered me. Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio were fine, but the aspects working to tie the film together did not completely succeed; maybe it was too focused on trying to copy its source material word-for-word than trying to demonstrate the character's personalities.
