My review on the movie.
My view on the movie Great Gatsby (2013) was that the movie couldn't be any better. The movie did what a movie is supposed to do, it gave imagery and sounds. Everything in the movie was spectacular and the Director really knew how to emphasize the right details .I personally thought the book was boring so I automatically thought movie would be. I was very wrong the movie open my eyes and allowed me to see the book in another way I didn't with my own mind while reading. The movie really captured a certain character. The character that was portrayed the best was George B Wilson. The film captured that his life was depressing and stressful by just allowing the audience to see his pitch red eyes .The movie also showed how dirty his clothes were, which represented that he was lower class. The book told us in a bland way he was not from West egg or East. What really captured my attention about George in the movie was this sick vibe about him that I caught from him just by looking through the screen .There where only a few major difference in the movie from the book. Starting with the main character Nick Carraway,in the book you get to learn about his personal life and intimate details about him. While in the movie Nick wasn't in every scene giving the audience less of Nicks personality. Another example in the book Daisy was written as an elegant young lady while in the movie she was "loose "and all over the place. Speaking of daisy in the book it doesn't say who killed Myrtle, but in the movie you see Daisy killed her in the car accident. Minus those few difference the overall the movie kept true to the plot line of the book Great Gatsby.
