Review of The Great Gatsby (2013) by Madison R — 26 Apr 2016

I think that overall most of the story compared perfectly with the 2013 movie ("The Great Gatsby"). Throughout reading the story and watching the movie, they both seemed to be identical to me.

I really enjoyed reading the book and after I was finished the book I watched the newest movie. Since I knew what was going to happen, I could picture everything that was going on almost perfectly. I think that the setting in the movie is very similar to the setting in the book.

I also think that the overall mood of the book and the movie is dark and pessimistic. This is a sad story about a man named Jay Gatsby who falls in love with a girl named Daisy Buchanan and he spends the rest of his life getting rich to impress her, but no matter how rich he gets and how many expensive parties he throws, he will never, ever be good enough, so he dies all alone.

I really enjoyed reading the book and watching the movie. This was definitely one of my favorite books and movies.
