Read the book the movie butchers it to pieces, the best line is the book was destroyed by Nick's awkwardness when he said it. And to correct someone's comment the book is by F. Scott Fitzgerald not Uptin Sinclair he wrote the Jungle.
And the book isn't overrated there is a reason why it's one of America's classics.
