Review of The Great Gatsby (1974) by Tamsin P — 15 Dec 2009
Waterston is wonderful in his innocence as Nick Carraway, despite his narration being a bit solemn. Also, the focal point doesn't stay with him all the time, which didn't make it as exciting as the book, as in the book we are looking through his eyes, but it's not an omniscient narrator.
The movie is an accurate adaptation, but some scenes feel rushed.
