Review of The Great Escape (1963) by Rabia S — 27 Jul 2010
This was a good movie for the time it was made. Has a great cast and a great true life story. Steve McQueen and James Garner stood out the most has the best actors in the film. A great WWII film. I saw a TV special on one of the actual POW involved with the escape.
He also was one of the advisors to the film. He said about 100% of the film was accurate. During world war 2 there were a bunch of convicts at prison being torched no fun during the war. Hot air guards watching you every time no freedom and you may never get out and if you try you wont succeed! So cooler king hilts and his friends try there very best to escape.
During there efforts they still where tired of that prison. so cooler king hilts put in pieces his plan which I call The Great Escape.
