Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Anis T — 10 May 2010
No one does it better than Charlie Chaplin. In "The Great Dictator", he takes on Adolph Hitler and his nazi party in such a funny and poignant way. Chaplin was regarded as a madman for making this movie, but today it ranks among his best work (and it's easy to see why).
His final speech is one of the most touching scenes I have ever seen. Hail Hynkel!
