Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Gabriel D — 06 May 2008
This movie is excellent in its own right, make no mistake, but the fact that it was made in 1940, a time when it seemed quite possible that the Nazis would win, makes it all the more inspiring. The speech at the end truly does inspire, and of course, the movie has all important humor throughout.
