Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Lakshit G — 22 Jun 2010
THE GREAT ACTOR- for me it is the finest work of Sir Charles Chaplin..... movie that make me wonder why chaplin continue to make silent films even in the era of talkies when he can creat such a masterpeice with his voice .
A movie about a very sensual era at that time but indeed it is the genuises of mr.chaplin that movie never leaves a humour chord and always takes it it in a lighter shade .THE credit for this masterpeice surely goes to charlie who with his flawless acting takes an amazing mockery of hitler and his ways and also not to forgot he is the writer ,producer and director too.
.... truly amazing..... wish we can have marvelous charlie with us again.
