Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Louise C — 03 Dec 2010
Hilarious and serious and sad all at the same time, this movie mocked and condemned Hitler as the madman he was before it was "socially acceptable" to do so and well before we entered the war.
In case you're wondering, Charlie Chaplin doesn't have a Hitler mustache; Hitler has a Charlie Chaplin mustache. Hitler copied it because he thought it would make him popular though in fact he hated Chaplin because he thought he was Jewish (he wasn't).
