Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Christopher H — 19 Sep 2012
More serious than Chaplin's many comedies, The Great Dictator is still funny but touches on very human aspects of war, politics, and racial issues. His performance(s) are perfect in contrast, and the content is heavy.
The ending proves to be of the most beautiful and enlightening moments in Chaplin's career.
