This film had a cheap "made-for-TV" feel all over it, not surprising since it was produced by Harpo (that's Oprah). A pretty dull subject matter not made any more interesting in this movie.
Also, the old "blacks are fun and innocent" and the "white southerners are evil rednecks" propaganda was out in force.
