I agree with most of the reviews below me. Denzel Washington got to craft himself a hot character. The story of history was very interesting! Yes it gets a bit sappy and/or cliche in sentimentalism sometimes, yes you'll be reminded of other similar movies, yes it could have been grittier or more fleshed out, but I do recommended it.
Those of my friends who know Tim Parati will get to see him pull a gun on Forest Whitaker, but what else is new. The more he gets cast as the face of dumb redneck racism, the more I worry for his personal safety in real life.
