Review of The Great Beauty (2013) by Humbert S — 14 Sep 2013
This movie is a fluke - it has great pretensions, it shouts "look at me, I'm no worse than Fellini", but it is worse, much worse, mindless perigrination of a mindless world which leaves no imprint on the soul once you're out of the cinema.
The excuse of beauty covering it all and being piviotal to everything, content and narraive notwithstanding, is lame - it simply emphasises lack of inner core. The cameraman is a real genuis though.
