Review of The Great Beauty (2013) by Dani P — 05 Jan 2014
This film has one of the most beautiful photographies I've seen. I totally loved how Sorrentino shows us the beauty of Rome and its parties and his characters' emotions. The script is quite bold and smart too and Gambardella is an honest and intelligent man, easy to connect with the audience.
Although having a long duration and being very dramatic, its party scenes are incredible and make you fall in love with Rome's nightlife, besides supporting the film until the very end. La Grande Bellezza is a wonderful and touching story about love, happiness, faith, aging, pain, loneliness and nostalgia.
