Socialite novelist, with one legendary success in his youth and a long career as a journalist thereafter, celebrates his 65th birthday and reflects on a life spent in Rome, and the enervating effect of its beauty and decadence.
Superbly crafted and played, winsome mediation on existence much influenced by Fellini. Wish I'd seen it on a bigger screen.
