Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Arafat H — 11 Jan 2010
In this well-crafted adaptation of John Steinbeckâ??s masterpiece, a family of poor migrant farmers embarks on a 2000 mile odyssey from Oklahoma to the promised land of California. But they face unrelenting disappointment, betrayal and tragedy.
Although the depiction of greedy land barons was a risky theme in cinema; this movie won both critics and audiences hearts. An honest and daring portrayal of the Depression era.
