Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Brandon O — 13 Aug 2007
Henry Fonda was great as expected, and Jane Darwell steals the movie as Ma Joad. Went with a more positive ending (as expected in the 40's) than the novel. Not sure if I like it better or worse, but it's certainly different.
Biggest mistake is how Noah just disappears and is never accounted for, but a classic by any measure.
