Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Akhil P — 14 Mar 2009
A bleak but brilliant movie about a displaced family that heads off to California in search of better times. Fonda is superb as the angry young man coming to terms with his sense of injustice, and Jane Darwell too is excellent as the core of the family.
Well worth watching, but be warned, it's the opposite of the 'feel good' movie - what's that called,I wonder?
