Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Gordon I — 26 Feb 2013
Some of the moments with the Joad family are quite nice. Fonda's final speech is moving. But the film experience is ultimately rather pointless & unsatisfying. The fact that it's so blatantly pro-socialist doesn't help either.
