Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Nathan H — 07 Sep 2013
A study in human misery (although not as depressing as the book, from what I understand). Of course, it is based on the reality of the times, so it's hard to fault it for that. The bigger issue is that the movie does not seem to have a story, and definitive conclusion.
Some people like these "slice of life" movies, but I look for story arcs from my movies.
