Review of The Grapes of Wrath (1940) by Carlos R — 02 Sep 2010
The Grapes of Wrath is absolutelyone of the boldest motion pictures that was made through the studio system in the forties. John Ford based his treatment on the relationship between the family memebres when they are about to lose their unity.
However, he wasnt able to focus on the details of the the places that the family settled in, and the people who they spoke with. those details that distinguished Steinbeck's novel. But still worth seeing.
Without forget to mention the great performance by Jane Darwell.
