Review of The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) by Justin T — 11 Feb 2015
The LORD OF ALL HIPSTERS Wes Andersen strikes again with a movie so instagram filtered that you will actually stop rolling your eyes over and will learn to appreciate the comedy and ludicrous plot - in part thanks to the abandon of the childlike treatment that his other recent films had been striving for, and instead opting to show scenes of violence and sex.
The contrast between the sweet chromatic palette and the quasi-dark comedy approach offer plenty of layers that are an absolute pleasure to munch through.
