Intoxicatingly bizarre, clever, outrageous and hilarious, Anderson pulls all the right strings and Fiennes is fantastic. I don't know if anyone else could have been M. Gustaves and had the same effect.
This is a brilliant movie made so by its cinematic elements, a refreshing formula.
