Review of The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) by Caroline J — 26 Jan 2015
The Grand Budapest hotel. Excellent movie, the hotel that was once a buzzing height of entertainment and the place to stay has now gone into a shambles and lost all the buzz feel of it.
Some excellent stars in the movie, Ralph Fiennes plays M.Gustave a legend concierge for the hotel and what the story is based on. The movie follows Gustave and his new bell boy who he trains and moulds in his image which also involving the theft of a valuable painting. Some dry funny moments and excellent cameos from Bill Murray, Edward Nortan and Adrian Brody. Vibrant and artistic movie, very much along teh lines of The Royal Tenanbaums and Life Aquatic.
Strange characters but lovable all along, well worth a watch.
