Review of The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) by Jay-R A — 22 Feb 2015

A very unusual movie, I must say. The movie feels very retro and like a tribute to old movies. The story is amusing and is oftenly funny. Acting was great, there were many cameos by famous actors, which was quite interesting.

The movie never feels amazing, tho. It's not really overrated, but it doesn't feel like it deserves this much approval. Still, this movie offers a lot of fun and amusing gags. It doesn't takes itself seriously, which is very welcome.

All in all, I would recommend this movie if you want to have some laughs and seeing many famous actors in silly roles.
