Review of The Graduate (1967) by Nicolas M — 21 Nov 2010
It's amazing how many people misinterpret the ending of The Graduate. It's not just another silly one-dimensional romance plot that many movies tend to have; it's making fun of such things. The final scene of their faces on the bus should make that abundantly clear.
So for those who say The Graduate is dated, it's not. I'll concede that reusing the same songs over and over again and some of the cinematography choices are, but the themes, the humor, and the irony are still quite relevant today.
