Review of The Graduate (1967) by Milly B — 27 Apr 2013
Apparently this movie hit close to home with many young people of the time it was released. Funny how applicable it still is. It manages to have a more realistic and relatable quality that more recent young-angst movies.
It's a wonderful and beautiful film that is just about perfect, and a masterpiece of its kind. Even though it's listed as a comedy, I didn't find it very funny. Even though the comedy felt absent to me, the drama made up for this. The situations and characters feel genuine and their performances are universally excellent. It's a timeless movie about troubled youth that is worthy viewing for any age of any generation.
