Review of The Gorgon (1964) by Bill M — 08 Oct 2010
Mid-level hammer production benefits from Terrance Fisher's sure touch and the usual Hammer production values. Biggest problem--the Gorgon makeup was beyond the talents or budget of the competent but unspectacular Roy Ashton. Not that I know what they could have done to make it work...maybe stop motion?
It has lee and Cushing, with Peter sporting an epic mustache, so there's fun to be had there--and Lee, for once, is the more sympathetic character.
