Review of The Goonies (1985) by Matthew D — 10 Jan 2014
A well acted and imaginative childhood farce which is enjoyable but lacks real acting from the miniature leads, who stumble along an underground cave in a race against time. Arguably the best performance here is the carefree performance of cute Jeff Cohen's Chunk, who radiantly shines in a wonderful role that he will always be remembered for, a loveable, chubby child who tags along and misses half the adventure because of his unbroken love for ice cream.
