Review of The Goodbye Girl (1977) by Alex T — 03 Apr 2008
It's one of the Dreyfuss' best performances. I remember the last scene, when the actor was supposedly leaving to pursue his dream. The character, played by Marcia Mason, assumed he's just like all the wrong guys that ran out on her.
Then he called from the phone-booth outside their apartment and asked her to keep his guitar, because he soon will return. That scene is just perfect.
