Neil Simon wrote this. That's all I needed to hear to get me to see this movie, because Simon is quite simply the master of comedy. His dialogue cannot be matched - it's so quick and precise - and to keep that pace, I could not see anyone but Richard Dreyfuss in this role.
A very good movie that I highly recommend.
