Review of The Good Thief (2003) by Kevin D — 31 Aug 2007
A good flick by Neil Jordan, but full of lots of touches that don't work, and puzzlingly aloof. Nolte's character, in the course of a single scene, decides to quit heroin, so he cuff himself to a bed and grab a bed pan, just like that.
There really seemed to be no gravity to the situation, and that's a problem throughout the film, this jarring sort of levity.
