Review of The Good Thief (2003) by Gregory L — 07 Nov 2008
A slick, stylish heist film with some magnificent performances - Nolte, in particular, is a marvel to behold and the scenes with him and the equally great Tcheky Karyo are positively electric to watch - and a tight, well-played plot (the twist, especially, is fantastic, particularly because it's hinted at throughout and yet we're misled, just like the 'Judas' character, Said).
However, Jordan's choppy, jarring editing style and the cast's heavy accents and regular mumbling let the film down to a degree.
