Stylish and compelling. The lead actress lives on smokes and french fries, and makes it look delicious. Guess smoking still works on the big screen. Nolte's acting is understated, strong, and kind of lovely.
The directing, cinematography, and storytelling make being a criminal look gritty and tense, but also inviting, so this is good make believe.
