Review of The Good Thief (2003) by Sally S — 12 Sep 2010
I decided to go on a Neil Jordan kick after seeing Ondine, and I was well rewarded. This is a FUN heist flick that harnesses whatever talents Nick Nolte may have. He is a parody of himself and it works.
Set in Paris, this has a decidedly European flair alongside a kitchy film noir sensibility. The rambling saxophone says "private detective flick" more than anything at times. This movie was a pleasant surprise.
